You would be surprised at how many people prefer their souls to be in the worlds of the dead than in this world of the living. I can sense, see and hear the dead, and the dead have always come to me in dreams to reveal things to come. They also speak through divination as clearly as souls living in earthly bodies. What if you could perceive and live in both worlds at the same time? For the purposes of this post, I will use the terms soul and spirit interchangeably.

I have seen the dead the day before they come to take a loved one’s spirit from the earthly plane. Usually, I call my mom the next day and ask about the living loved one, and she will tell me, “They died today.” This has been my experience for as long as I can remember. The only issue is there really is no such thing as death.

I have always been fascinated by the transition from life on Earth to other realms. Also, it is surprising to see what gifts, brought by the deceased, will become on the physical plane. The souls of persons, whether plant, animal, or human, do not all go to the same destination after departing the physical body. You may be surprised to know that the souls of a tree, an animal, a rock, water, and a human do not differ greatly from each other. However, their earthly lives are shaped by the physical limitations of their bodies. If we could truly define and isolate the life matter of a spirit, our entire perception of existence on Earth would change forever.

As a teenager, a friend and I would visit the local mortuary to see the deceased as they lay in their caskets. I was always intrigued by the body suit they left behind—the “vehicle” that people mistook as their true essence. The human body is merely that of a biobot doll.

As I grew older, my ability to see spirits outside of physical forms frightened me, and my fears shut down the gift. But time passed, and I understood that this ability had to be reawakened. To embrace it fully, I studied for and received a certificate in mediumship—not just to communicate with the deceased, but to explore and appreciate the rich existence they now experience in other dimensions. Before I reach that plane myself, I wished to understand it better. It is a tragedy that modern religion has shut down people’s understanding of all realms of soul existence as something that is not good.

It amazes me that so many people reject the reality of the spirit world, which exists alongside the world of life on Earth. A deeper understanding of those who have passed would open an entirely new and vibrant way of life. Tribes and clans who maintain strong bonds with their ancestors tend to live more abundant and meaningful lives compared to those who shun death as something dreadful. In many traditional African and indigenous cultures, the dead remain an integral part of daily life, guiding and protecting their descendants. Meanwhile, in modern Western societies, death is often feared, hidden, and mourned in ways that distance the living from their spiritual roots and futures.

If humans do not face the truth of our soul’s existence beyond this plane, we will never fully grasp the essence of life itself—its medicine, spirituality, love, or purpose. To live without embracing the wisdom of the departed is to walk in darkness and despair. Only by acknowledging and honoring the spirits of those who have gone before us can we truly illuminate the paths ahead and fully enjoy life on this planet.
